About Steve

Steve Fleming

I have constantly moved around since I was born in Morocco in 1958; living and traveling on four continents, sailing across the Atlantic numerous times and motoring around most of the U.S. After residing in Athens, GA for many years, working in the music industry and organic garlic farming, I relocated to the Seattle area in 2006. In 2008 I was married to Gail Craddock. In 2011 we started splitting our time between Ireland and Washington state, all the while traveling extensively.

Having first picked up a camera nearly 40 years ago, I have developed a self taught eye for capturing the beauty in this world, both in the natural and the man made world. I shifted from film to digital photography in 2000, yet I adhere to the belief that the image should be composed and captured in my camera and with minimal manipulation in the digital darkroom of the computer. I hope that my work will allow the viewer to see the beauty of the common threads of Nature and man that binds this world together, thus bringing us all a little closer to each other and growing our appreciation of the world we share.

  1. Steve – I think these photos say a lot about your incredible curiosity about the world. These are stunning. REALLY impressed with your eye. I’d love to know where these are taken. Can you add that to the title or is that a photographer no-no? The door with the crow and heart….wowowowowo! I’ll look forward to more!
